Water Returning to Customers on Cork City’s Northside

13 June 2026

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Water is returning to Uisce Éireann customers on the north side of Cork City following a mechanical issue at the Harbour View Reservoir.

Uisce Éireann crews have carried out the restoration works, and the network is currently recharging. It is expected that the majority of customers who experienced a disruption will have a normal water supply within two to three hours.

However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Some customers may also experience temporary discolouration of water as supply returns. Customers experiencing discoloured water are advised to run the cold kitchen tap for several minutes until it runs clear. If the water does not return to a clear colour, customers are advised not to drink it as a precaution and to contact Uisce Éireann using the details below.

Uisce Éireann’s Niall O’Riordan thanked customers for their patience as the network recharges.

We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned interruption, and we appreciate customers’ support as we worked to return a normal supply today.”
