Overnight water restrictions

The current spell of warm weather has led to a significant increase in water use in areas across the country. Overnight restrictions are necessary in the below areas to help maintain daytime supplies for local communities:

Overnight restrictions are in place in Cavan Town from 11pm until 7am.

Overnight restrictions are in place from 10pm until 8am at:

  • Ennistymon
  • Lahinch
  • Liscannor
  • Doolin
  • Lisdoonvarna
  • Fanore
  • Ballyvaughan
  • Kilfenora 
  • Kilshanny

Overnight restrictions are in place at:

  • Foxhall, Clonakilty: 11pm until 6am
  • Enniskeane Reservoir: 11pm until 6am
  • Johnstown Reservoir on the Ballykenly/Johnstown Scheme: 11pm until 5.30am
  • Dunmahon Water Treatment Plant: 11pm until 5.30am
  • Ballydonegan: Ongoing during operational repair works

Overnight restrictions are in place at:

  • Lough Mourne Water Supply Zone: 8pm until 8am
  • Gort an Choirce/ An Fál Carrach Water Supply: 10pm until 7am
  • Leitir Mhic an Bhaird Public Water Supply: 10pm until 7am
  • An Craoslachh/Dún Fionnachaidh Water Supply: 10pm until 7am
  • Ballyshannon Public Water Supply: 10pm until 7am
  • Pettigo Public Water Supply: 10pm until 7am

Overnight restrictions are in place at: 

  • Athenry, Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan and Ballinderreen: 9pm until 7am
  • Leitir Móir, An Cnoc and Tír an Fhia: 11pm until 7am
  • Inis Oírr: 11pm until 6am
  • Kinvara: 8pm until 8am
  • Inis Mór
    • Creig a'Chéirin and Cill Éinne: 5pm until 7am
    • Elsewhere on the island: 10pm until 7am

Overnight restrictions are in place in the following until 25 July:

  • Listowel Town: 12am until 8am
  • Ballyduff: 12am until 8am
  • Lisselton: 12am until 8am
  • Caragh Lake area: 7pm until 7am

  • Glenary Water Supply: 11pm until 6am
  • Ardfinnan Water supply: 8pm until 7am
  • Rosegreen Reservoir: 10pm until 7am
  • Cashel Water Supply: 11pm until 6am
  • Tullohea Water Supply: 8pm until 7am

Overnight restrictions are in place for customers supplied by the Ballany Reservoir from 10pm until 8am.
