Update on water supply to Graiguenamanagh, Tinnahinch and surrounding areas
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann can confirm that nighttime restrictions introduced earlier this week for the Graiguenamanagh water supply are no longer necessary at this time. Production at the Graiguenamanagh Water Treatment Plant had been temporarily affected in recent days due to extensive rainfall.
Thanks to ongoing monitoring and tankering to support reservoir levels, normal supply has now stabilised.
Shane Aylward, Water Operations Manager with Uisce Éireann, said: “We appreciate the patience shown by the community while we worked to manage the impact of recent heavy rainfall. The weather continues to be unpredictable, and further heavy rain is forecast.
“Our crews will continue to monitor the plant and the local network closely, and we will take every step possible to maintain a reliable supply for Graiguenamanagh and Tinnahinch.”
