Night-time restrictions introduced for Ardfinnan Regional Supply Scheme

Uisce Éireann is introducing overnight restrictions for some customers supplied by the Ardfinnan Regional Supply Scheme in an effort to safeguard daytime supply.

The restrictions will apply overnight on two consecutive nights: from 9pm tonight, Monday 15 June, until 7am on Tuesday, 16 June, and again from 9pm on Tuesday, 16 June until 7am on Wednesday, 17 June.

The areas impacted are Newcastle, Middlequarter, Killnacarriga, Flemingstown, Magherareagh, Gormanstown, Castlegrace, Ballyknockan, Coolbawn, Kilnacomma NT, Ballybrada, Killinure, Gaintsgrave, Chancellorstown, Dishoge, Ballingarrane, Summerhill, Carrickconeen, Newchapel, Graigue, Donegal, Whitelands, Coleman, Redcity, Clonacody, Jossestown, Barrettstown, Prospect, Ballybambon and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore supply to normal levels. “We understand the impact of overnight restrictions, but these measures are necessary to ensure continuous daytime supply for homes and businesses while treated water reservoir levels recover.

We also remind customers that the existing Boil Water Notice remains in place and should continue to be followed to protect public health.
