Night-time restrictions introduced for Ardfinnan Regional Supply Scheme

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is introducing overnight restrictions for some customers supplied by the Ardfinnan Regional Supply Scheme in an effort to safeguard daytime supply.

The restrictions will be in place from 10pm to 7am tonight, 27 February and will continue every night from 10pm until 7am until 1 March and are necessary due to low treated water reservoir levels at the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant.

The areas impacted are Magherareagh Carrigataha, Roosca, Ballybrada, Crannavone, Cranna, Kilcommon Ballyboy, Castlegrace, Coolbaun, Ballinhalla, Ballyknockane, Ballyhist, Gormanstown, Garryroe, Kilballygorman, Kildanganoge, Tullow, Garryduff, Monroe, Knockaballiniry, Poulatar, Lodge, Lisheenpower, Croughta, Ballyveera, Lisheenanoul, Lacken, Knocknadempsey, Kilmaneen, Frahens, and the surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore supply to normal levels. “We understand the impact of overnight restrictions, but these measures are necessary to ensure continuous daytime supply for homes and businesses while we allow the reservoir levels time to recover.”
