Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a significant burst to the treated water main leaving the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant which serves customers on the Ardfinnan Regional Public Water Supply Scheme.

Approximately 5,000 customers are affected by the burst including customers in Goatenbridge, Poulatar, Newcastle, Ballybacon, Grange, Ardfinnan, Jamestown, Marlfield, Loughryan, Loughloher, Loughtally, Derrygrath, Rathkeevin, Inishlounaght, Nicholastown, Knocklofty, Castlegrace and the surrounding areas.

Crews are on site working to repair the burst. Full water supply is expected to be restored to customers by 9am tomorrow, 30 April.

Alternative water supplies will be available at Ardfinnan National School from 2:30pm today, while further alternative water supplies will be available in Grange and Knocklofty later today.

Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
