Water supply returning to customers in Celbridge

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Water supply is returning to customers in Celbridge following successful overnight repairs carried out at the reservoir supplying the area.

Supply is returning to customers in Ballygoran Court, Ballygoran View, Castle Village, Kilwogan Lane, Thornhill Meadows and surrounding areas. It may take longer for normal supply to be restored to all customers particularly those at the end of the network or on higher ground, as the reservoir refills and network recharges.

Uisce Éireann’s Eoghan Forristal thanked affected customers for their cooperation.

“Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage and we wish to thank customers in the area for their patience as repairs were carried out overnight and this morning at Ballygoran Reservoir,” said Eoghan.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Previous Updates

Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to parts of Celbridge following a technical issue at the reservoir supplying the area.

The areas affected include Ballygoran Court, Ballygoran View, the Castle Village area, Kilwogan Lane, Thornhill Meadows and surrounding areas.

An alternative water supply in the form of a tanker has been made available for impacted customers at Ballygoran View, from 5pm this evening until 9am tomorrow morning, Friday, 27 February 2026.

Customers are reminded to bring their own containers when drawing water from the tanker, and to boil the water before use as a precautionary measure.
